Day Three – September 4, 2021 – Custer State Park, SD

The second and third tire patched and the malfunctioning thermostat replaced, we met in the hotel lobby and strategized for the day.

The plan was to tour through Custer State Park today.

After a short drive from Custer, SD, we arrived at Custer State Park.  The winding roads and beautiful scenery were amazing!

Rock formations lined the highway on all sides creating some very interesting and narrow pathways.

This tunnel is called Needles Eye.

Next stop – a scenic overlook.

A good place for a few photos.

We finish a very fun and exciting day with a trip through another tunnel and a stop for lunch at Lodge Lake

Tomorrow…Crazy Horse, Mt Rushmore… and Lots More!
