This is a nice M1917 helmet that was issued to a United States Marine during the Great War. This very nice example is complete with liner and chin strap, but has been repainted green sometime after the war. Most notably the helmet features a P1917 EGA (Eagle Globe Anchor) cap badge, although this make of EGA was meant for Bell Crown Caps, the darker variants being meant for helmets. The hole in the helmet is punched,
